    Dr. Alex Lynch, BVSc (Hons), DACVECC, MRCVS. Associate Professor of Emergency and Critical Care, NC State College of Veterinary Medicine.

    Dr. Alex Lynch is a board-certified specialist in veterinary emergency and critical care with expertise in small animal critical care, hemostasis, and transfusion medicine. He graduated with honors from the University of Bristol School of Veterinary Science in England in 2009. After working in both general and specialty practice in the United Kingdom, he moved to Tufts University in North Grafton, Massachusetts, where he completed advanced clinical training in emergency and critical care medicine.

    In 2015, Dr. Lynch became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC). He subsequently joined the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida as a Clinical Faculty member before moving to North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, where he currently serves as a faculty member in the Emergency and Critical Care Service.

    In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lynch conducts research focused on coagulation and transfusion medicine, aiming to improve outcomes for critically ill patients. He is an active member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), ACVECC, and the Association of Veterinary Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (AVHTM).
